Language is not only a vehicle to convey meaning but is itself a learning tool -  in every school subject and every sphere of life.

This "course" provides a set of materials to develop understanding of the language conventions essential to coherence and cohesion in written expression. The course is a toolkit that can be accessed independently by students or used by a group or class. It should be accessed by students in Years 9 to 12 following teacher advice about written expression on a Written Feedback Form.

There are eight sections, each of which targets a particular feature of language. For each feature, three levels of material are provided.

Developing competence in applying the conventions relevant to each feature will enhance student ability to compose effective written texts in any subject and for any purpose.
